Portfolio: 360 Panoramas
After doing a number of Panoramas, it seemed like a logical next step was to do move into 360 Panoramas. While the technique and tool kit is essentially the same, the delivery is completely different. I look at my Panoramas as artwork to be hung on a wall. Therefore I’m spending some time generating large prints and framing these to hang on my walls anyway :-)
The delivery vehicle for a 360 Panorama is a web site. Here is a way to bring a view of an environment to a distant visitor. I think this is very cool as well. As I’ve stepped into these I’ve discovered that they are typically generated with wider angle lenses and therefore they are more sensitive to parallax issues ... and I have to be much more conscience of the nodal point of my camera and lens system. The challenge is what makes this fun ;-)
These are just “poster prints” of the 360 Panoramas. Click on one to be taken to the page for that environment.
