Short Hills Santa Brunch
18 Dec 2011 Filed in: Events
We had great food, met with good friends, and were visited by Santa and Mrs. Claus with presents for all the children. Another very successful Santa Brunch at Short Hills Country Club. See the photos and feel free to “right click” and download for your own use. Of course, you can always order a print for a nominal fee.
Short Hills Gingerbread Houses

A few of the “girls” and their gingerbread houses.
It was another very successful kids and family event at Short Hills Country Club. This time the kids made gingerbread houses in the ballroom while the parents “socialized” next door in the Pavilion. Fun was had by all. Here are a few photos of the event.

Project "Can Do" Combine

The Project “Can Do” Combine in the John Deere Pavilion.
Over 300,000 cans, hundreds of volunteers, one very worthy cause.
Here are a few 360 Panoramas of the John Deere Pavilion in Moline, IL with the Project “Can Do” Combine on display. This is a life size combine sculpture that measures 80 feet long, 60 feet wide, and 16 feet tall and is constructed entirely from cans of food. On December 11th, 2011 this sculpture will be torn down and all the food will be donated to the local Food Bank ... enough food to feed 150 families for an entire year.
I’ve been wanting to do some panoramas of the John Deere Pavilion and this seemed like a perfect time. Click on the poster print below to view the panorama.
And ... a few stills are available here.

It was quite the turn out! 47 kids carving away at pumpkins while moms and dads socialized in the pavilion. These kids always make great photo subjects. See for yourself!

This year I threw everybody a curve and changed the annual Howell Kentucky Derby Party to Belmont Stakes weekend. We had a great day with a great group of wonderful friends. Thank you all for coming and making this such a great event. This year we even had our own “race” horses in the backyard!. Extra thanks go to Chris Dufour for his great photographic skills. Here are a few photos of the day.
Next year we’ll be back on Kentucky Derby weekend. Mark your calendars for the first Saturday in May!!!
